Naturopathic Services:
Naturopathic Doctors are medically trained practitioners who focus on natural interventions to do the least amount of harm in order to see the most benefit. ND's can diagnose, treat, and prevent disease. Dr. Adrienne takes great pride in being evidence-based and staying on top of new research.
Your first visit with Dr. Adrienne is 60 minutes, and includes a very thorough review of your medical history, current symptoms, physical exams if indicated, and potentially bloodwork. This helps to get a full understanding of your health so we can identify the root cause. Dr. Adrienne believes it is vital to address the root cause of disease in order to see true recovery, but can also help you manage symptoms while working on the underlying cause of dysfunction. In pregnant women, she uses lab work to reduce risk and improve maternal/birth outcomes for patients.
Treatment may include, but is not limited to physical modalities, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations, nutraceuticals, herbs, acupuncture/acupressure, cupping, talk therapy and more.
Depending on your symptoms and goals, you can typically expect 1-3 follow up visits in a 6 month time, sometimes this is more or less depending on your individual needs. After the first few appointments, treatments are usually spaced far apart until only check ups are required (typically 1-2 x per year).
Common conditions treated include (but are not limited to):
Compassionate Care Rates are available at a limited capacity for individuals who have financial barriers to receiving care. Dr. Adrienne receives no financial compensation for offering these rates. She does so with the sole intention of increasing accessibility to naturopathic care. Patients who pay full rates for their services increase the ability for others to receive care who may otherwise not be able to afford to. Compassion Care Rates are only available at her Riverside office (All Systems Wellness) or Online through her directly. If you require compassionate care rates, please let her know prior to your appointment.

Pre Natal Visits
During the prenatal visits, Dr. Adrienne will work with you to address what to expect and what to think about for each trimester, educate & help you create an individualized birth plan, and discuss the benefits and risks of different interventions so you can be prepared for labour. There will also be a heavy focus on how your birth partner can support you during labour, and how you can advocate for your needs during labour.
Dr. Adrienne recommends seeing her pre-pregnancy for lab work to ensure optimal nutrient status prior to conceiving. She then recommends booking the following pre-natal visits:
1: Before week 12
2: Between weeks 12-20
3: Between weeks 20-28
4:Between weeks 28-38
Additional appointments may be recommended for pregnancy related complaints, and between weeks 37-40 if we are using natural induction techniques such as induction acupuncture.
Post Partum Visits:
During the first post partum visit, which takes place in your home, Dr. Adrienne will ensure your needs are being met, you have the right support systems in place, check in on your emotional and mental health, ensure you feel confident and comfortable in breastfeeding (if you are breastfeeding), and help you find the resources or referrals you need. She recommends having this appointment between weeks 1-4. Additional in-home post partum visits can be made and will include light cleaning, snack preparation, baby minding, newborn education, and any light household duties.
*The modalities, education, and information that Adrienne has regarding Doula services does fall under the scope of naturopathic medicine. If you wish to see Adrienne for pregnancy, labour, or post partum, you may still do so in naturopathic appointments. Naturopathic services are often covered under extended health benefits.
